CHAPTER 9 : ACID AND ALKALI

1. Substances can be grouped as acidic, alkaline or neautral.
2. An acid has a sour taste and can change moist blue litmus paper to red.
3. An alkali has a bitter taste and can change moist red litmus paper to blue.
4. A neutral substance is tasteless, sweet or salty and does not change the colour of any litmus paper.
